Internet Security
The Internet is a public network. Therefore, it is important to learn how to safeguard your credit union account information, credit card numbers, Social Security Number, and other personal data. Below is some information you can use.
- Watch out for copycat web sites that deliberately use a name or web address
very similar to, but not the same as, that of a real credit union. Their intent
is to get you to click on their site and give them your personal information, but
we've taken several measures you can use to protect yourself:
- We have set up our web site to be an informational site. While you are on this site, at no time will you be asked to submit any personal information.
- All online transactions (online banking and order checks online) are conducted through trusted online vendors with strong SSL security. You can tell you are on an SSL-secured page when you see a yellow lock or a yellow key at the bottom right hand of your browser. Do not submit any personal information unless you see one of those images.
- To ensure your safety, we suggest you download and install the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Opera that support 128-bit encryption. Encryption scrambles private information to prevent unauthorized access.
