KaiPerm Northwest Federal Credit Union

Types of Loans

One of the choices you need to make when you are thinking about applying for a loan, is whether you want a variable or a fixed rate loan.  Each has its advantages.  All loans are also subject to Participating and Non-Participating or Regular rates. See below for more information. Contact us if you have additional questions.

KaiPerm has competitive loan rates, but for an even better rate, members who meet the following conditions are eligible for a Participating Rate that is discounted 2% off the Regular or Non-Participating APR rate:

  • Checking account with the credit union
  • Direct deposit (100% net check)
  • Loan payment is set up to automatically transfer from your checking account

If at any point during the term of your loan you discontinue your checking account at the credit union, direct deposit, or the automatic payment transfer, your loan rate will revert back to the higher non-participating APR rate. If you have a participating APR rate personal line of credit, the only way to access this account is through electronic means (automatic overdraft protection or advances on Virtual Branch or Connexus.)

Variable Rate Loans

Variable loans are based on the 26 week treasury bill rate. Contact our Loan department for current index and margin.

Fixed Rate Loans

Fixed rate loans are competitive and provide a fixed APR rate for the life of the loan.

Credit Insurance

KaiPerm offers single/joint credit life and disability insurance. Low cost premiums are included in your payment. When you borrow, protect your family's financial future.
